I traveled from Orlando to Port Canaveral, driving an hour to board the Majesty of the Seas, a Royal Caribbean cruise ship.

I booked an interior room since we hardly spend any time in it when traveling. Just a place to crash after a hard day's worth of adventuring!

Beautiful day in Nassau 🚢🏖🗺
A storm was brewing but luckily it waited till we got back on the boat.

We decided to spend the day walking around the island to get a more authentic view and experience. We climbed up the hill to see the Governor's Mansion, a lovely pink building built in colonial times. The view from the Governor's Mansion was spectacular, you could see most of the island all the way out to the cruise ship docks.

We took a hike across the island because we wanted to see the National Art Gallery of the Bahamas. We didn't encounter any trouble despite hearing some warnings about the dangers of walking around. You should however always be aware of your surroundings when walking around, especially in a foreign country. We did encounter some cool buildings and street art along the way.

The last stop on the trip was to their private beach. It was a glorious day that I spent snorkeling out in the water. There were many different kinds of tropical fish and coral. Some were used to swimmers and came quite close to me. It was a day that I'll never forget.
