this lady had a vision for me

True life short story - Almost two years ago, I was unsure of what to do to achieve my goals in life, I knew there was something there l but didn't know how to bring it to fruition. I had pulled up to my favorite neighborhood Walgreens and was walking in when I noticed a woman staring at me intently, her mouth hanging open. I shrugged it off and continued on my weekend shopping trip, browsing the makeup aisle. Later on she came up to me, light brown hair pulled back half hazardly, '80's jean shorts, her big eyes open wide.

"I just had a spiritual vision for you, when I was out in the car, and I wanted to tell you, that I see you have a drive and a vision, to help people and that you're going to be traveling the world, and sitting on the board, impressing the men that you work with around the table, the men, some difficulty with the women maybe, their competition, and your face being on the billboards as I drive by... I see you with a little designer leather backpack helping kids in Africa, so stylish but no makeup on, just you, beautiful, no makeup on, you're going to do something big, and you're going to do it because you love people, not for yourself, and that's what made me so excited and want to tell you, because I sometimes I have these visions and they're not always very good, and I don't always tell the people what I know..." She laughed a little uncomfortably. "But you, oh I'm so excited for you! I wish it was me! I wish I was the one! But God has a plan for me too, he gave me my beautiful kids, my family, and there's nothing better than that, that's what I always wanted growing up you know, to have my own kids and to love them, really love them you know, but oh I see your getting nervous, just breathe, that's ok let's pray together, just give me your hands." I reached out and she took them and prayed for my peace of mind so that I could continue down the path that was meant for me.

This selfie was taken the day I had a mysterious encounter with a lady. I started doing social media shortly after this, in part because she inspired me, and now I have over 125,000 followers. I love doing something that brings joy to that many people's lives. Not only that but I am so much happier and confident now than I was before. I have a new life, new friends, pets, a better car, better family life, better job, because I reached out and made my life go down a path that was meant for it. It hasn't been at all easy, but it has definitely been worth it.
